Noosa Car Parking Study 2017 - 2032
Final Report
As such, the parking utilisation data has been applied as follows:
Aerial imagery data has been used to determine relative utilisation of individual parking lots / street sections
within each study area, as it is expected that, although overall utilisation levels vary from the average, relative
attractiveness of parking locations within individual study areas can still be determined. Additionally, the
observation surveys do not provide information on parking utilisation within individual streets.
The average of observation survey parking utilisation has been adopted as the current parking utilisation
for determining future on-street parking demand.
The parking environment and resulting parking utilisation within each of the study areas is discussed in the
following sub-sections.
