Noosa Council
Noosa Car Parking Study 2017 - 2032
Final Report
Figure 3-12: Utilisation of Noosa Junction Study Area Parking Supply
The parking utilisation based on the aerial survey suggests that carparking within the Noosa Junction study area
is currently within the target utilisation range of 70% to 90%, with a carparking utilisation rate of 74% overall.
This is within the range of the observation surveys (54% - 82%) but higher than the average vacant space survey
utilisation at 69%. It is likely, therefore, that carparking within Noosa Junction is under-utilised.
Significant variation in parking utilisation was noted within the aerial imagery survey within the study area.
Parking appears to be highly utilised along Bottlebrush Avenue, and in the Bottlebrush Avenue carpark, but less
utilised along Lanyana Way and in adjacent carparks along Sunshine Beach Road.
3.6 Noosaville
3.6.1 Parking Environment
The project study area for the Noosaville centre is shown in Figure 3-13. The majority of parking within the study
area is designated as unrestricted parking, with some time-limit restricted 2-hour parking out the front of local
businesses along Thomas Street between Mary Street and Gympie Terrace.
