Noosa Council
Noosa Car Parking Study 2017 - 2032
Final Report
Figure 4-2 indicates that the on-street parking demand is not expected to exceed the target utilisation rate or
existing parking supply up to 2031. Therefore, no parking demand management or additional parking
infrastructure interventions are recommended.
It is noted, however, that weekend markets provide sharp temporal peaks in parking demand, such that some
intervention may be required – i.e. appropriate parking management measures by the operators of the markets.
4.3 Hastings Street
The projected parking demand for Hastings Street is shown in Figure 4-3.
Figure 4-3: Hastings Street Projected Parking Demand
Figure 4-3 indicates that the current parking supply is expected to be fully utilised by the projected parking
demand at the 2021 horizon, with 66-147 additional carparks required by 2031 to achieve the utilisation rate
criteria of 85% - 100%.
4.4 Noosa Junction
The projected parking demand for Noosa Junction is shown in Figure 4-4.
