PROPOSED RESIDENCE
66 SEAVIEW TERRACE, SUNSHINE BEACH
4.0 RESULTS OF INVESTIGATION
4.1 Site Description
The site is formally described as Lot 69 on RP81810, covering an area of about 576 m2, with frontage to
Seaview Terrace along the western boundary. At the time of the investigation the site was vacant of any
structures, with a variably dense vegetation cover comprising bushes and scattered small to medium size
trees. Denser vegetation was present further down the dune face (east) which primarily comprised low
ground coverage and a small number of trees, such as Banksia and She-Oak.
Two to three storey houses were generally present in the vicinity of the site, of varying age and construction
methodology. The closest residence was 64 Seaview Terrace adjoining the subject allotment to the south.
The structure consisted of a masonry brick dwelling, over a split level type construction, being one storey just
off Seaview Terrace, and extending to two storeys, with a suspended verandah on the seaward side.
The asphalt seal along Seaview Terrace in the vicinity of the site was in relatively good condition overall, with
several patches and reseals evident, which we understand was due to the relatively recent installation of
underground services. No kerb was present along the eastern edge of Seaview Terrace above the site.
