Bathymetric mapping
TNC contracted Northgroup Consulting to undertake bathymetric mapping and three-dimensional laser scanning of
the four planned restoration sites – Tewantin, Goat Island, Noosa South (East) and Noosa Sound (West). These
complex bathymetric maps guide the placement of the oyster reef patches within sites. The bathymetry of the
Tewantin restoration site is given below as an example (Figure 15).
