Approval for removal of the vegetation for fire mitigation will be granted, subject to
conditions, and upon receipt of further information and payment of an application fee and
a bond. Particulars contained in this letter are for your information only - this letter does
not grant approval.
The following conditions will be applied:
1. Payment of an application fee of $187.00 and a bond of $643 to be made at our
Customer Service Counter located at level 1, 9 Pelican Street, Tewantin. Please
note that return of the bond will be subject to an inspection of the site after
completion of works and the inspection may take up to 10 working days from date
customer advises completion of the works.
2. Contractors that are engaged to undertake tree removal are required to be trained to
AQF Level 3 in Arboriculture or equivalent recognised and with relevant experience.
3. Contractors must hold Public Liability Insurance in the sum of $20 million.
4. A Dial Before You Dig must be obtained; this can be done online at
https://www.1100.com.au/ and evidence provided that the tree works will not
interfere with existing underground services.
5. Residents who may be affected by the removal of the tree must be notified of the
work at least three days in advance.
6. All debris associated with the removal must be removed from the site.
7. Traffic and pedestrian access and management is the responsibility of the
contractor/client.
