1 Introduction
1.1 Site Description
It is proposed to extend the RACV Noosa Resort to construct Eco-Cabins for short-term
accommodation. The proposed development site (hereafter referred as the Site) has a real property
description of Lot SP126203. The Site has an area of 0.546 hectares and is bounded by the existing
RACV Noosa Resort to north, Noosa Drive to the south and east, and Weyba Creek to the west.
Figure 1-1 presents a locality map depicting the location of the Site. The property boundary along
Noosa Drive forms a ridge from which the Site falls in a westerly direction, discharging into Weyba
Creek.
The proposed development layout is shown in Figure 1-2 and will consist of eight (8) Cabins, ground-
level car parks with access from Sanctuary Drive and suspended walkways.
Water Engineering Partners (WEP) completed this Site-Based Stormwater Management Plan
(SBSMP) to ensure that the proposed development does not result in an increase in peak flow
discharging into Weyba Creek, for a range design flood events up to and including the 1% Annual
Exceedance Probability (AEP) event plus climate change (RCP8.5), and to demonstrate that the post-
development stormwater quality leaving the Site meets best practice quality objectives.
