Dear Sir / Madam, 
Please accept this email as my and my wife's OBJECTION to Application Number MCU10/2083 

I write in relationship to the development application for the nursery site 37 Gibson Road….ie  "The Hive Noosaville" 

As residents of the Noosa Waters estate, 7 Saltwater Avenue,  I object to the proposed rezone from residential use to commercial use.

I disagree with the assumption that local residences need more convenience retail facilities,  within a short walk of the proposed redevelopment there are numerous moderately priced food outlets. In fact the profile of the new shops is so similar to nearby existing businesses there is likely to be a negatively impart. 

This is already a busy corner of the Noosa Waters estate and by adding shops, including a 24 hour convenience store, will add to the congestion. I am convinced the facility will be used predominantly by passing trade as apposed to local residences. This is clearly not desirable for people wanting to live in a quite residential area.

Late night or all night facilities, as demonstrated by the nearby Villa Noosa pub and MacDonald's, create unacceptable increase in traffic and noise in a residential area.

I would appear to me there is already existing commercial property space available in the area that could accommodate the proposed type of business.
