e ni PROPOSED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT geotechnical & environmental as 39 PICTURE POINT CRESCENT, NOOSA HEADS 5.0 SLOPE STABILITY ASSESSMENT 5.1 Existing Conditions The Noosa Planning Scheme 2020 includes a landslide hazard overlay map (Ref. extract in Text Figure 8) which indicates that the site is within a Moderate Landslide Hazard Area. It is noted that the Noosa Drive reserve and road corridor below the site to the north is not classified in the overlay mapping. on Text Figure 8: Extract from NC landslide hazard overlay mapping It should be noted that the NC landslide hazard map is a broad-scale indication of the potential landslide susceptibility and is superseded by this site-specific assessment. The allotment did not exhibit any visible surface features which would indicate global slope instability during our walkover: no landslide back scarps, noteworthy groundwater seepage or areas of naturally ‘hummocky’ ground were observed. Medium dense sands were encountered at all the investigation locations, at depths ranging from about 2.8 m to 3.6 m BGL (existing), with dense sands below. 10 February 2023 Report No. 22511-001-RevO 8 59
