REPORT

1. Existing camping areas

Within Noosa there are 14 sites able to accommodate camping and most recreational vehicles.
Of these:
      3 are operated by Council
      5 do not provide powered sites
      4 were established in the hinterland namely at Pomona Showgrounds, Kin Kin Recreation
       Ground, the Cooran Sport and Rec Club and Camp Cooroora at Lake Macdonald as an
       ancillary use to the Noosa Trail Network. These sites are managed by local not for profit
       community groups who benefit from the additional funds received. The sites are now being
       used by the general travelling public.
      4 have sewerage dump points.


The sites are listed below in Table 1.
