     Councillor Remuneration
     Councillor remuneration is determined by the Local Government Remuneration Commission (the
     Commission) established under the LG Act. The Commission determined remuneration for Mayors,
     Deputy Mayors and Councillors and released an annual report which established single remuneration
     levels for the year.
     The Local Government Remuneration Commission Annual Report 2020 listed Noosa Shire Council as
     a Category 3 Council, and prescribed the annual rate of remuneration for the Mayor and Councillors
     for the period 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022 (the period) as follows:
         •   Mayor - $133,196
         •   Deputy Mayor - $83,247
         •   Councillors - $70,759
