Dear Andrew,
1.0 INTRODUCTION
As requested, Tectonic has undertaken a slope stability assessment of recent earthworks and for a
proposed residence at 31 Flooded Gum Place, Black Mountain. This report presents the results of our
slope stability assessment, together with geotechnical advice for the proposed project. The report has
been prepared to address Noosa Council’s (NC) Breach Notice (ref. COM20/008 dated 9 January 2020)
supporting an application for a Development Permit for Operational Works and to provide advice for
development of the future residence from a geotechnical viewpoint.
In summary, subject to implementation of the recommendations made herein, there would be a Low Risk of
slope instability affecting the proposed development in accordance with the Australian Geomechanics
Society “Guidelines for Landslide Risk Management”, dated March 2007 (AGS 2007).
