Dear Sir,


The above property has been recently purchased by us with final settlement to take place on
17th December 2012. We will be using these premises as our principal place of residence after
settlement.


We engaged Dave Stuart (Professional Tree Surgery C/- P.O. Box 518 Noosa Heads), to inspect
all the major trees along the northern vista of the residence on Monday 29/11/2012 and this
application renects his advice to us.

Please find enclosed a diagram showing the location of three trees to which this application
refers.


1. The boundaries of Lot 4 including the boundaries of Covenant D have been marked on the
block by survey and are indicated by white survey pegs with red surveyor’s nagging tape tied to
the indicators.


2. The trees in question have been highlighted in the field using the same red surveyor’s nagging

tape.

3. The diagram shows relative distances from the trees in question to the building line (line of
eave and    fascia) along the northern wall.

4. All those trees marked and shown on the diagram are affecting future plans, firstly to build an
outside patio /deck area to the eastern end of the residence and secondly the plan to widen the
saw tooth    patterned at the top end edge of the existing driveway.

5. The easterly tree is a bloodwood the canopy of which overhangs the proposed patio project
and the corner of the residence. There are two other bloodwoods very near, a larger and

younger tree which will remain as they are to the north. The affected tree has red ribbon tied
around its girth.


6. The trees to the west, but east of the driveway are gums of an unknown type. The larger gum

appears to be injured or unhealthy with the other three very young trees closely grouped but
within the planned extension area of the driveway.


My wife and I intend to plant into the existing native garden so these trees will be replaced by
many other native trees and shrubs in the near future.
