INFRASTRUCTURE AND SERVICES MEETING AGENDA 25 MARCH 2014

Option 3. High Level Management Intervention (Environmental Services, Regulatory
Services, and Asset Planning and Delivery Services).

• All of the above actions outlined in Option 2; and
• Engagement with the local community in the design and install of a bank stabilisation and
access structure for recreational purposes at the site. This would include erosion mitigation
measures along the most impacted sections of the creek bank.

Option 3 would achieve the same outcomes as Option 2, but in the long term the site will be
capable of sustaining higher levels of recreational use. Additionally, the community will have the
opportunity to be involved in designing the formalised access to the creek.

Option 4. Minimal Management Intervention and Tree Removal (Environmental Services,
Regulatory Services)

• All of the above actions outlined in Option 2; and
• Removal of high risk trees.

Option 4 would achieve the same outcomes as Option 2. In addition, the risk of failure of existing
eroded trees, bank collapse and public safety risk would be further reduced. However the
environmental and amenity values of the removed trees would be lost.
