Risk Mitigation Initiatives:

•     An effective and ongoing customer education and information program is essential to
      minimise the impact of residents contaminating recycling bins.
•     Video surveillance and rejection of contaminated bins by the collection contractor while
      servicing bins which is currently undertaken.
•     Contract management of the collection contractor to ensure the compaction ratio in the
      collection vehicle does not exceed 200kg per cubic metre.
