Non-profit organisations that sell meals on at least 12 days each financial year will be required to hold a food business licence with their
local government. A ‘meal’ is defined as food that is, or is intended to be, eaten by a person sitting at a table, with cutlery and is of
adequate substance as to be ordinarily accepted as a meal. Food Act 2006 s48.

A Non-Profit organisation - is an organisation registered with the Office of Fair trading or as a charity under the Collections Act 1966
and/or registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
