6.2 Warning Sign Treatments
An assessment of signage on approach to the intersection has been undertaken to
ensure consistency across the road network and that treatments comply with Part 2 of
the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Signage on the Cooroy
Belli Creek Road approach to the intersection with Old Ceylon Road should
on
include Truck warning signs (W5-22)and should be compliant with Clause 4.11.2.5
of the MUTCD.
4.11.2.5 Trucks (crossing or entering) (W5-22)
The Trucks (Crossing or Entering) sign shall be used where
it is necessary to warn of the frequent movement of trucks to
or from an adjoining property.
If the truck movements are occasional or seasonal the sign
W5-22
T2-25, displayed as a temporary sign, shall be used instead.

6.3 Pavement Repairs
There is evidence of pavement failure on Old Ceylon Road approach to Cooroy-Belli
Creek Road. The pavement is cracked and in need of repair due to the number of
vehicles currently turning left out of Old Ceylon and travelling toward Cooroy.
Whilst the proposed development does not significantly increase the traffic at this
intersection, Council should consider including this intersection in their works and
maintenance program.
