PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING 7 MAY 2024

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The application seeks approval for a minor change to a Development Permit for a Material
Change of Use (Undefined Use – Motorcycle/Scooter Sales & Repair). The Motorcycle/Scooter
Sales and Repair has operated from the site since 2013 and was considered an undefined use
under Noosa Plan 2020 when the original application was lodged. As such, the original
application was decided by Council at the Ordinary Meeting on 16 December 2021, due to the
proposal being undefined in the Noosa Plan.
The applicant seeks to amend the built form of the development, including relocating the
approved low impact industry shed planned for the rear of the site to adjoin the existing building,
and providing formalised carparking to the rear. The proposal also includes an amended internal
floor layout, and a new awning over the access driveway. No changes to the current approved
uses are proposed as part of the minor change application.
It is therefore recommended that the minor change application be approved with changes to
conditions.
RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Senior Development Planner to the Planning & Environment
Committee Meeting dated 7 May 2024 regarding Application No. MCU21/0104.01 to make a

– Motorcycle/Scooter Sales & Repair) situated at 16 Rene St, Noosaville and:
