7.3 TREE 2 It is proposed that tree 2 is to be retained on the southern side of the driveway, with the area beneath the tree fenced off to prevent access beneath it during the build. The existing driveway appears to be relatively new and currently offers protection for the tree’s root systems beneath. It is proposed and noted on the project design plans that the existing driveway is to be retained during the construction phase. Towards the end of the build, once all major works have been completed, the new driveway is to be built. The plans show that very little change in levels is required to build the new driveway. The awarded builder is to consult with the appointed Project Arborist before the removal of the old driveway, and any earthworks are to be reviewed, and the levels double-checked. If excavation is required, this is to be undertaken under the supervision of the Project Arborist. 7.4 TREES 7-12 & 17 Trees 7-12 and 17 are proposed to be retained. This group of trees is to be fenced to prevent access beneath the trees. The TPZ fencing is to be erected in an area guided by AS4970 guidelines and advised by the Project Arborist. Ideally, the understory lower-order plants are to be carefully removed by hand, and 100mm of mulch spread to cover the ground area of the TPZ. 7.5 TREES 23- 25 Trees 23, 24, and 25 are located to the rear of the property, with tree 25 being the closest to the build. Trees 23 and 24 are down the embankment and away from the main site. A TPZ area is to be created between tree 25 and the build line to prevent access beneath the tree. It was advised that support piers are required to be formed within the outer TPZ of Tree 25. These works are to be discussed with the awarded builder and Project Arborist prior to works commencing and overseen by the Project Arborist during the works, if required. 25_06_23_AIA_ SLa_3 Allambi Rise_V2 Page 21 of 38
