Yurol-Ringtail State Forest Conservation Project
The Yurol-Ringtail State Forest Conservation Project is one of the largest conservation projects undertaken in Noosa
Shire. Project funding partners include Noosa Parks Association, State Government and Noosa Council.
Ultimately, 2400ha of State Forest land will transfer over to National Park over a 10 year period. 750ha of pine plantation
is to be restored to a natural condition, making this project one of the largest ecological restoration projects in South-
east Queensland and a project of great significance to Council and the community. Once restored it will provide
important connectivity across the Noosa landscape supporting vital habitat for native flora and fauna.
