I write to express my unreserved support for the above planning application from Noosa U3A for change of use to the U3A's primary premises at Mitchell House, 64, Poinciana Avenue, Tewantin. I have been a member of U3A here since the summer of 2010/11, and the value of the services it provides to the community cannot be overestimated.​​

I would ask that Council increase to the maximum deemed possible the number of members permitted to use the facility under Council's planning scheme and the associated car parking required. The U3A submission is entirely accurate in stressing the important social function of Mitchell House.​​
