Background & Introduction

, the owners of Lot, and Noosa Council have negotiated a Voluntary
Conservation Agreement. This agreement covers a covenant registered on
title over a section of the property and a rezoning from rural residential to
environmental management and conservation. The Covenant, Conservation
Agreement and this Environmental Management Plan (EMP) will not cover the
total area of the property, referring only to the land described as the
‘Conservation Area’ as depicted on Map 1.

This EMP has been developed co-operatively by the landowners and
Council’s Conservation Partnerships Officer. It outlines agreed management
objectives for the Conservation Area. The intent of this management plan is to
impart a level of flexibility, providing a ‘tailor made’ Conservation Agreement
for the landowners. This EMP outlines a level of detail that is not covered by
the agreement and covenants.. The Council will provide financial and
technical support for the term of the agreement to assist in the implementation
of this EMP.

Nature conservation is the primary land use on the property.
