It is acknowledged that the use of premises for short term accommodation has the potential to
have a significant impact on the amenity of the surrounding residential area. These impacts are
often attributed to noise, car parking and waste disposal. The requirement for a development
application for short term accommodation provides the opportunity to regulate the use of the site
so as to mitigate these potential impacts.
The location of the unit at the corner of an intersection with wide road verges provides significant
separation of the dwelling unit from surrounding uses to the north and east. As result, the outdoor
