PEKOL TRAFFIC & TRANSPORT ABN 96 067 593 962 P 07 3839 6771 PEKOL TRAFFIC & TRANSPORT Level G 67 St Pauls Tce Spring Hill Q 4000 WWW.PTT.COM.AU 139 EUMUNDI-NOOSA ROAD, NOOSAVILLE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN This Traffic Management Plan outlines the procedure for the bulk refilling of the underground fuel tanks at a proposed service station by an articulated tanker vehicle. The Traffic Management Plan has been prepared in response to item 24 of the Noosa Council Information Request (dated 27 January, 2015) for Development Application MCU14/0102. Fuel deliveries can be completed at any time of the day or night. However, the timing of the deliveries would be scheduled to avoid the peak periods of service station operations. Fuel deliveries may take up to one hour to complete, depending on the amount of fuel to be unloaded. As demonstrated in the attached Figure A: w= _ the fuel tanker can access the development site from Eumundi Noosa Road and stand immediately to the west of the service station forecourt to undertake bulk refilling operations mm _ the fuel tanker can stand at this location without obstructing traffic movements into and out of the development site m= _ the presence of a vehicle using the bowser at Fuel Dispenser 1 will not obstruct the movement of the fuel tanker from the site entry driveway to its designated refilling position == upon completion of bulk refilling operations, the fuel tanker would be able to exit the development site and back on to Eumundi Noosa Road It is recommended that prior to the arrival of the fuel tanker, service station staff would close Fuel Dispensers 1 and 2 for customer refuelling. This would be managed by using traffic cones and signage. By doing so, this will ensure that there are no vehicles at Fuel Dispensers 1 and 2 and no vehicles queuing when the fuel tanker arrives. These measures will effectively eliminate any potential conflicts between fuel tankers and customer vehicles at the site. Therefore, it is considered that bulk refilling operations will not have any adverse impact on traffic movements on Eumundi Noosa Road. If you have any questions regarding the issues discussed above, please do not hesitate to contact us. Yours sincerely, Adam Pekol Director (RPEQ 5286) P\2014-15\15-067 LIONEL DONOVAN DRIVE, NOOSAVILLE\REPORTS\139 EUMUNDI ROAD, NOOSAVILLE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN.DOCX 1
