We have reviewed Noosa Council’s request for further advice dated 31 May 2022 and provide our response to
the Engineering related items.

Issue 1: Existing Stormwater Infrastructure’s Condition/Capacity
The CCTV survey of the downstream stormwater network provided shows a number of cracks and minor
damage to the existing infrastructure.

No confirmation that the system has the capacity assumed in the SWMP has been provided.

Response:

       We can certify that the existing stormwater network draining the site as confirmed by the recent CCTV
       camera survey and earlier survey investigations is consistent with the pipe sizes used in our stormwater
       drainage analysis. The stormwater network draining the site has adequate capacity.


Issue 2: Erosion and Sediment Control
The erosion and sediment control plans provided with the application are not considered capable of
meeting Condition 55 of approval MCU21/0156 or the likely conditions of approval for this OPW. The ESCP
is a tool for the applicant to achieve compliance with the outcomes required by the conditions, and as such
feedback from Council is provided to assist the applicant achieve those requirements and reduce the risk
of enforcement action and potential loss of performance bond during construction.

It is strongly recommended that additional consideration be given to how downstream and adjacent
properties will be protected from runoff during construction and how site discharges will minimise sediment
discharge from the site consistent with current best practice.
