HIGHLIGHTS




     CO M M U N I T Y E N G AG E M E N T


     We worked with, supported and promoted a wide range of
     community, environmental and charitable organisations, including
     Zero Emissions Noosa, Sustainable Tourism Stakeholders
     Reference Group, Noosa Integrated Catchment Association
     with their Bushcare Volunteer brochure and promotion, Noosa
     & District Landcare, Country Noosa, Slow Food Noosa, Noosa
     Biosphere Reserve Foundation, Oz Harvest, Noosa World Surfing
     Reserve, United Synergies, Red Shield Appeal, Boomerang
     Alliance and Qld Koala Crusaders. Tourism Noosa membership,
     including marketing, industry and networking benefits was
     provided to almost 20 community groups across the region.
     Tourism Noosa maintains that a great place to live is a great
     place to visit.

     Working with organisers of Tourism Noosa
     sponsored events, we’ve provided one-on-one mentoring
     with our Events Sustainability Officer to encourage
     them to become more environmentally sustainable
     in their practices, including monitoring
     their energy, water and wastes.

     Events environmental guidelines were reviewed
     and redeveloped for all of Tourism Noosa’s
     sponsored events.
