Dear Aunty Judy
Dhakkan/Mundaggudda and Maroochy Space project — Yarning Circle — Letter of support
Please find below confirmation of the Cooroy Future Groups (CFG) support for this project.

The North Coast Aboriginal Corporation for Community Health (NCACCH) has secured funding
for the Dhakkan/Mundaggudda and Maroochy Space project and have engaged Aunty Judy as
coordinator. Part of this project includes the building of a first nations yarning circle at the
western edge of the pottery facilities managed by the CFG through the Cooroy Butter Factory
Arts Centre (CBFAC). The CFG have a permit to occupy these premises from the Noosa Shire
Council.

The proposed location is currently underutilised, and the CFG considers the building of a yarning
circle would add a permanent facility for the benefit of a wider portion of the Cooroy
Community.

The CFG has already agreed to assist the project by providing a venue for a launch event on 22"¢
of June 2024, being a performance by the Bangarra Dance theatre’s Rekindling youth program.
Rekindling aims to inspire Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth to have a strong sense of
kinship and connection to their communities and country and to understand their role as the
future custodians of their culture. This launch will herald the opening of the NAIDOC Exhibition
at the CBFAC and is the opening exhibition for a First Nations gallery that will operate at the
CBFAC for the following 12 months.

We wish the yarning circle and the overall project every success.

Support for the building of a Yarning Circle

Yours Faithfully,

ke
