The Biosecurity Act 2014 identifies restricted invasive pest plant species within Queensland. Under
this Act, it is the General Biosecurity Obligation (GBO) of everyone to undertake reasonable and
practical steps to minimise the risks associated with invasive plants. The Biosecurity Regulation 2016
outlines ways of disposing restricted manners and refers to the information provided by local
governments on the treatments of restricted invasive pest plants. The GBOs for several categories
under the Act are as follows:
 Category 2: A person must report the invasive plant to Biosecurity Queensland and undertake
        all reasonable and practical steps to minimise the risk of the plant spreading;
       Category 3: A person must not distribute the invasive plant;
 Category 4: A person must not move the invasive plant; and
 Category 5: A person must not keep the invasive plant.

A list of prevalent restricted invasive pest plants recorded on the site are summarised in Table 3,
below.

3.7       Pest Animals
No pest animals were observed on-site however it is considered possible that Feral Cats (Felis catus),
Feral dogs (Canis lupis), Red Foxes (Vulpes vulpes), Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) and Feral Pigs (Sus
scrofa) may occur in the nearby bushland and may utilise the site from time to time. It is likely that
Cane Toads (Rhinella marina) would also inhabit the site.
