Re.: Change to Existing Anproval
My previous amended approval dated 4 June 2015, was voted by council to align with our Commercial
Activity permit to conduct tours in the Woondum National Park, which is renewed every three years, as
this is the maximum period the permits are valid for. As such the expiry date was set for the council MCV
to coincide with this permit. being the 31 March 2018.
I am accepting, if needed, for the reinstating of the Mev to align with the three years of the National Park
Permit, as voted by council at the last application for a change to the MCVcondition 16. However I am
not accepting of having to pay the large application fee for a Change to application for the MCV.
The last approval was voted by council to align with the National Park Permit, which I expected would
simply be renewed to match the renewed National Park period of three years. I did not expect to have to
pay for and submit another Change of Application with such high fees to renew this already approved
condition of the MCV.
If the MCVis to be kept with a renewal the same as National Parks Permitthat is for a period of three
years, then I expect the renewal fee to be of the similar value. The National Park permit renewal fee is
$166.60. If council was to accept a fee similar to this, I am happy to have the MC~ reissued to align with
the period being three years. (()\~ qCt.€pt rc.d.octt:I (d> -to G\~fl' ~Iac:>a)
However if required to pay a full fee for a Change of Application then I would expect the MCVto be issued
with no expiry date.
I have invested a lot of time and money into the original application process with council, to obtain a
MCVon my property. I applied for a MCVon my property and not a permit to operate. The permit to
operate the tours in the National Park was approved before making application for the MCVand was not
a decision to be made by Council. To date neither our business nor any overseeing departments,
including Council have ever received a complaint. The business has always adhered to all conditions as
set out in the MCVas well as those in our National Park and Queensland Police Permits.
I trust Council to assist my small business based on the proven success over the last five years. Surely it
is time our business can start operating and be dealt with in fair manner like all other businesses in the
area.
Should you wish to discuss any matter concerning my business, you are welcome to call me directly on
0418874036.
Yours Truly
