GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES 14 FEBRUARY 2022 7. CLOSED SESSION 10 MCU21/0013 & OPW21/0031 – PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COURT APPEAL NO. BD2677 OF 2021 – REFUSAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR MULTIPLE DWELLING UNITS (19 UNITS), FOOD & DRINK OUTLET, INDOOR SPORT & RECREATION, HEALTH CARE SERVICE, OFFICE & OPERATIONAL WORKS AT 30-32 DOONELLA ST, TEWANTIN In accordance with Chapter 5B of the Local Government Act 2009, Cr Jurisevic provided the following declaration to the meeting of a declarable conflict of interest in this matter: I, Cr Jurisevic declare I have a declarable conflict of interest in this matter as the matter is a planning application for a Doonella St property that is at least in part owned by Chris Wright, as I understand it. My family and I have had a close relationship with Chris Wright and his family over the years that we have lived in Tewantin. The nature of the relationship stems from my wife having worked for Chris’ wife, Kelly and in the same office where Chris’ business is located. Kelly was also the Treasurer of the Sunshine Beach State High School P&C during my term as P&C President. My wife and I attended Chris and Kelly’s wedding as well as several social gatherings at each other’s houses over the years as our children were close friends and attended the same playgroup and schools growing up. As a result of my conflict I will leave the meeting room while the matter is considered and voted on. Cr Jurisevic left the meeting.
