Objection of 18 Duke Street, Sunshine Beach from Office to Café/Restaurant

To Whom It May Concern,

I would like to lodge a formal notice of objection in relation to the material change of use of 18 Duke Street, Sunshine Beach QLD from an office to café/restaurant (MCU15/0029). I have been involved in the local community and area of Sunshine Beach for over 20 years, I feel allowing the above proposal to be approved would play a detrimental effect to the residents and community at large. It is very clear in the planing that all restaurants and cafes are located within a close proximity to each other around the corner (past henderson street roundabout to the Sunshine Beach Surf Club) where there is extensive footpaths, car parks and a park directly opposite to cater to the extra noise and volume of people that are associated within this precinct. I feel allowing the above change of use to go ahead from an office to a restaurant/café would not only disadvantage the local neighbours but the further community at large with serious car parking concerns as well as noise and acoustic issues for all neighbours in additional to health and safety concerns with minimal pedestrian areas.

I hope the Noosa Shire Council will carefully and diligently review this application and take into consideration all factors and serious effects and damages this application will cause to the local area and formally reject this change to best benefit the local community, landscape and vast majority of people rather than the small benefitting minority.
