Details of Submission I (We), make the following submission: with regard to approvals for a Material Change of Use of Premises and associated Operational Works. I object to the expansion of Noosa Civic because: 1. Will impact on existing businesses, because (a) are struggling in the current economic climate 2. Will impact on existing businesses, because (b) population is not big enough in the Noosa area to cope with yet more shops, department stores or more supermarkets 3. Why more shops – Why not “THINK OUTSIDE THE SQUARE” – the pristine forest which is planned to be cut down, should be utilised for educational purposes – walks, bike riding, interpretive centre, 4. A small portion of the land could be utilised for a Leisure Centre – indoors and outdoors. (mini golf, water park, small zoo, bowling lanes, craft workshop e.g. glass blowing, wood carving, craft & hobby classes etc.) Not everyone who comes to Noosa (or even live in Noosa) wants to spend all day on the beach, or wander around shops, which are to be found anywhere and everywhere else in Australia. 5. And if more shops are to be added. EXTEND THE EXISTING STRUCTURES BY GOING UP AND ADDING AN EXTRA LEVEL AS WELL AS INCORPORATING MULTI LEVEL CAR PARKS. Many regional centres have shopping centres with two levels (if necessary, use separate sheet of paper and attach) Page 2 of 2 Notice of Submission under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 2015/16 Privacy Council will use any personal information provided for the intended purpose only and for remaining in contact with you.
