                 Desktop Study
                 The following information has been reviewed for the desktop study and provided as attachments to this
                 report:
                 •    Nearmap aerial Imagery (23 May 2023) – Drawing 1 and 2;
                 •    Borehole and DCP Test Location Plan (Nearmap Aerial Imagery 23 May 2023) – Drawing 3;
                 •    Hillside Shading Traditional (extracted from GeoResGlobe) – Drawing 4;
                 •    Surface Slope Mapping developed from 2014 LiDAR data – Drawing 5;
                 •    Surface Topography and Contour Mapping developed from 2014 LiDAR data – Drawing 6;
                 • Regional Surface Geology (extracted from GeoResGlobe) – Drawing 7; and
                 •    Slope cross-sections developed from 2014 LiDAR data – Drawing 8.

                 The short-term accommodation is located in the southern portion of the property, as shown in Drawing 1 (26
                 May 2023 Nearmap view of the site).

                 The AGS landslide frequency analysis method of assessment adopted in the AGS landslide frequency analysis
                 uses slope angle in degrees. Drawing 5 was generated using 2014 LiDAR data to show slope mapping in degrees.
                 The slope angle from the LiDAR data and field observations of the ground surface slopes were subsequently used
                 for the landslide frequency analysis.

                 Review of the slope mapping in Drawing 5 indicates that the ground surface throughout the assessed area, slopes
                 down to the west at a slope angles of approximately 15° - 20°.

                 Review of regional surface geology presented on Queensland Globe indicates that the site is underlain by
                 Middle Triassic aged Kin Kin beds (RJI). Typically comprising ‘Strongly cleaved and commonly kinked mudstone,
                 with thin siltstone laminae; minor volcanilithic sandstone’. An extract of the local geological mapping is
                 attached in drawing 7.

                 Subsurface conditions
                 The subsurface conditions encountered during the geotechnical investigation generally comprised a superficial
                 layer of topsoil overlying natural, clayey silt with trace gravels to borehole termination. The DCP test results
                 and observations of the exposed cut batter on the eastern side of the dwelling indicate that harder residual /
                 extremely weathered material is present below depths of approximately 0.5m to 1.0m. The subsurface
                 conditions are consistent with those encountered within the previous Landslide Risk Assessment undertaken
                 at a different location on the investigated property.

                 Site Walkover Assessment Findings
                 A visual walkover inspection was performed on 18 July 2023. The following observations were made:

                     • Topographically, the short-term accommodation is situated on a levelled pad, cut into the natural
                          slope. The levelled pad appears to have been predominantly formed by cutting, with possibly some
                          minor filling on the western side(although no Level One certification was produced by the client).
                          Observations on site indicated that the natural slope falls at no more than approximately 20°. The
                          batters on the eastern and western sides of the dwelling ranged in height between approximately
                          1.0m and 1.5m and had surface slopes of approximately 45°.
                     • The vegetation within the investigated area comprised low grass, with scattered bushes and mature
                          trees bordering the investigated area. No indication of soil movement such as slumping, sinkholes or
                          misshapen tree trunks were observed in the site vegetation. General site conditions are presented in
                          Figures 1 and 2 below.
                     • No tension cracking was observed on or across any of the slopes on the site.
