Key Comments Total Business Activity
Financial year performance for the Noosa Holiday Parks business activity is positive, delivering
strong revenue and an operating surplus. The financial performance results reflect Council’s
commitment to business improvement and innovation in order to improve revenue outcomes,
visitation levels, operational cost efficiency and visitor enjoyment.
The financial performance of the Noosa Holiday Parks business activity was impacted by poor
weather conditions in the latter part of the financial year and the significant flood event in
February 2022 resulting in temporary closure of Boreen Point Campground and Noosa North
Shore Campground.
The camping and caravanning industry has continued to stabilise in financial year 2021/22, with
consistently high consumer uptake reflecting the important role of recreation camping and
caravanning tourism and accommodation sector.
