Dear Sir/Madam,

I am dismayed to see yet another service station being proposed for the Noosa Shire.
At the moment we have three service stations within a 1.5km radius of the proposed development. All three centres maintain the same petrol prices on a daily basis. There is currently no competition between the service stations as they collude with each other therefore no benefits to the local community or visitors to our Shire.

If Noosa is a progressive shire why aren't we looking ahead by making provisions for automated cars or electric cars rather that petrol or diesel driven cars.
Noosa prides itself on developing businesses that have a minimal impact environmentally and a planning scheme that supports uniqueness and protects the flora and fauna of the area. By allowing another service station to be constructed on this site or anywhere else in Noosa, Council is negating its own planning scheme.

Another service station will not support employment is the Shire. A service station employs minimal staff as it is all self serve.

I hope you give consideration to my objection and see that the Shire does not need another service station that brings no benefit to the community as well as the environment.

Regards
Jan Miller
