SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 11 FEBRUARY 2020
Finance
Periodic reporting of departmental performance allows Council to fulfil its governance
responsibilities and ensures transparency within the organisation and the community.
Risks & Opportunities
Risks
The short term risk of reduced profitability at the Noosa North Shore will be offset by longer term
revenue opportunities arising from improved and more attractive facilities, improved site layout
and lower wastewater disposal costs. A marketing campaign was undertaken in December 2019
and January 2020 to advertise the reopening of the campground in January 2020 to promote site
bookings by customers. The campaign was highly successful, achieving:
850 new Facebook followers.
64,913 people reached on Facebook and 63,151 people reached on Instagram.
59,792 people reached through Facebook and Instagram ads.
Opportunities
A full tariff review of the business activity has commenced. The Noosa North Shore
Campground’s tariffs were approved in a report to Council in November 2019. Both Boreen Point
Campground and Noosa River Holiday Park’s tariffs will be subject to formal Council
consideration once the reviews have been completed.
