GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES                                          12 SEPTEMBER 2022


     7    ENTERPRISE RISK AND OPPORTUNITY MANAGEMENT POLICY
          Committee Recommendation
          Moved:            Cr Finzel
          Seconded:         Cr Stewart
          That Council note the report by the Governance Manager to the General Committee
          Meeting dated 12 September 2022 and
          A.    Adopt the Enterprise Risk and Opportunity Management Policy provided at
                Attachment 1; and
          B.    Authorise the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to make minor amendments to the
                document prior to publication.
                                                                      Carried unanimously.

     8    BURGESS CREEK COASTAL EROSION AND WATER QUALITY
          Committee Recommendation
          Moved:            Cr Lorentson
          Seconded:         Cr Finzel
          That Council note the report by the Principal Environment Officer – River Strategy &
          Engagement to the General Committee Meeting dated 12 September 2022 and
          A.    Consider a detailed project proposal for a Noosa Eastern Beaches Creeks High
                Risk Erosion Prioritisation Project for Council at its Budget Review 2
                deliberations;
          B.    Note an internal investigation of erosion impacts from foot traffic at the mouth of
                Burgess Creek and adjacent dunes and engagement with the Burgess Creek
                Bushcare Group and other interested stakeholders to develop nature-based
                restoration and erosion control measures; and
          C.    Request the CEO (or delegate) liaise with Unitywater to provide Unitywater’s
                Receiving Environment Monitoring Program (REMP) and all routine monitoring
                reports including water quality and quantity discharges for Burgess Creek to
                Council Environment staff to support Council’s Integrated Water Quality
                Monitoring Program for Noosa Shire.

     9    FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE REPORT – AUGUST 2022
          Committee Recommendation
          Moved:            Cr Stewart
          Seconded:         Cr Jurisevic
          That Council note the report by the Manager Financial Services (Acting) to the General
          Committee Meeting dated 12 September 2022 outlining August 2022 year to date
          financial performance against budget, including changes to the financial performance
          report with the inclusion of key financial sustainability indicators.
                                                                             Carried unanimously.
