130 Eumundi Rd Submission
Attached to the e-mail PM Submission - Impartial - GW & FK Tarr - MCU18/0157.
Att: Planning and Building Department Noosa Council 28th March 2019 To Whom it May Concern RE: Development Application Public Notice Proposal MCU18/0157 PROPERTY: 130 & 134 Eumundi Road, Noosaville We are the adjoining landowners and own property at 136 Eumundi Road. In principle, we have no objection to a material change of use to 130 & 134 Eumundi Rd, provided conditions are imposed on the approval to mitigate our concerns about how this will impact our property. All fencing, landscaping or retaining wall works associated with our boundary must be engineer approved and at the full cost of the owners of 134 Eumundi Rd. We also wish to ensure that the stormwater from the existing building on 134 Eumundi Road be collected and discharged away from our property. We have had historical issues with seepage and redirection of stormwater onto our property. At the moment, the current storm water downpipes on 134 Eumundi Road are inadequate for heavy rain and are discharging onto our property creating a nuisance. It is our request that the owners of 134 Eumundi Road:- (a) immediately redirect their own stormwater discharge away from our property; and (b) cease their verbal harassment of us in relation to the water issues they are currently experiencing to their existing building. Council officers have visited our property three times in the last two to three years to investigate and in all cases have confirmed that we are not responsible for the water issues at 134 Eumundi Rd. We also raise the question that should this change of use be approved that it would set a precedent that would enable similar businesses to be developed in the area and that it would not in fact limit (the number of) future such businesses from opening. If these issues are addressed with proper conditions, then we have no further objection to the proposal. Yours faithfully, Fiona Tarr For and on behalf of GW & FK Tarr
