Dear Sir,
I am writing to you as a long time resident of the Cooroy-Pomona area. In this time I have seen many changes take place in our community. Some have been good; some have not. I firmly believe that the proposed poultry farm that is before council at the moment is one of the good changes. I believe that such an industry being introduced into our community will not only provide future employment for local people but also put much needed funds back into the local community. In a time when small business is suffering, it’s good to see that someone has the foresight and confidence to set up such an enterprise as this.
There has been a lot of talk around the town about this proposal; both positive and negative. I have read the development application and, as an everyday citizen, am in total agreement with the development going ahead.
I have heard that the applicant is a long time resident of the Cooroy area, who has a proven record of involvement in the agricultural industry over a long period.
I also believe that the proposal meets ALL the criteria for a clean green industry with minimal impact on the environment. There will also be minimal impact on roads and other infrastructure
If this development is approved, it will be a win win for the town and the whole district.
I strongly urge that you give this proposal your most favourable consideration.
