> does not contain or adjoin any wallum wetland habitats that would provide potentially suitable habitat for
    species such as Wallum Froglet or Wallum Sedgefrog, although extensive areas of such habitat are
    conserved within the adjacent sections of the Noosa National Park to the west of David Low Way;
> does not contain or adjoin any areas of heathland habitat suitable for the Ground Parrott, although
    extensive areas of suitable habitat are present within the Noosa National Park to the west of David Low
    Way;
> whilst the Site and immediately adjoining land contains a small number of Koala food trees, none showed
    any evidence of active use by Koala and the Site is not mapped as supporting areas of Koala bushland
    habitat;
> the species composition and wind-shorn nature of the Site’s vegetation does not provide good quality
    foraging habitat for species such as the Grey-headed Flying-fox; and
> the Site, and adjoining land to the east of David Low Way, does not encompass any areas that are
    classified on the Vegetation Management Supporting Map as Essential Habitat being areas in which
    species of wildlife that are endangered, vulnerable, rare or near threatened under the Nature Conservation
    Act 1992 have been known to occur.
The only notable fauna features identified on the Site were:
> a non-active Brush-turkey mound located in the north-western sector of the Site adjacent to David Low
    Way; and
> an arboreal termite mound with a bird nesting hollow located to the west of the existing northern dwelling.
No other indications of fauna breeding places were identified on the Site.
A list of native fauna species observed in the Site locality is provided in Appendix C.

3.2.3           Matters of Environmental Significance

3.2.3.1 Matters of National Environmental Significance (MNES)
Matters of National Environmental Significance (MNES) are prescribed under the provisions of the
Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) and include the
following matters.
>   listed threatened species and communities;
>   listed migratory species;
>   Ramsar wetlands of international importance;
>   Commonwealth marine environment;
>   world heritage properties;
>   national heritage places;
>   the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park;
>   nuclear actions; and
> a water resource, in relation to coal seam gas development and large coal mining development.
Based on the findings of desktop and field based investigations, no MNES occur within or are dependent on
the habitat resources available within the Site. Some threatened and/or migratory fauna species may
occasionally traverse, fly-over or utilise food and shelter resources available within the Site, however the Site
does not provide an area of high quality habitat for any such species.

3.2.3.2 Matters of State Environmental Significance (MSES)
Matters of State Environmental Significance (MSES) are prescribed environmental matters under the
Environmental Offsets Regulation 2014 that require an offset when a prescribed activity will have a significant
residual impact on the matter. A MSES is any of the following matters.
    1. Regional ecosystems under the Vegetation Management Act 1999 that:
                a. are endangered regional ecosystems;
