Supplementary Ecological Assessment Report
Noosa Civic Expansion
1 Introduction
1.1 Background
In response to an Information Request from Noosa Council (Ref. MCU14/0106, dated 12 February 2015),
Cardno was commissioned to undertake targeted assessments and prepare a supplementary ecological
assessment report for the proposed Noosa Civic expansion. This report is supplementary to the Noosa Civic
State and Local Government Ecological Assessment Report (Cardno, 2014).
1.2 Study Area
The proposed expansion of Noosa Civic is located at 28 Eenie Creek Road, Noosaville on Queensland’s
Sunshine Coast. The Study Area for the purpose of this supplementary assessment incorporates areas
identified as the disturbance footprint and the balance of Lot 3 on SP246584. This assessment specifically
targeted areas of frog habitat, potential habitat for Lobelia membranacea, and areas associated with the
proposed pedestrian footbridge within Covenant J.
1.3 Study Aims and Objectives
The aim of this study was to addresses Council’s information requests relating to threatened frogs, threatened
flora, problematic fauna, mosquitos and the impacts of the pedestrian link within Covenant J.
