MCU12/0184 Objection - Greg and Nadine Wright
Subject: Submission for MCU12/0184 From: Greg Wright Date: 2014-08-26T05:22:15+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail Dear Mr Lewis, Our property adjoins that of the proposed chicken meat farm at 136 Top Forestry Road, Ridgewood. The residence is marked as receptor R25 but our lower paddocks with its stockyards and dam are less than 100 metres from the applicant’s property. The MWA pollution modelling maps show that 40 acres of our property will be affected. Needless to say, we are concerned about the adverse impacts of this proposal on our amenity and on the rights we have to use our whole property without having to endure the bad effects of the noise, dust and odour. Also, the dust from Shed 5 ventilation fan, which points in the direction of our residence, is another major concern, since we collect rainwater from the roofs for drinking and domestic use and we are not looking forward to having to keep the doors and windows shut in the summer. In addition, our stock watering dam is in the affected area and when the winds blow from the south and southwest, it will bring dust and feathers from the chicken sheds that may contaminate my stock drinking water and affect the health of my cattle. We suggest that this proposal is way over scale for the district and request that you reject it. Yours sincerely, Greg and Nadine Wright 869 Cooroy-Belli Creek Road Ridgewood QLD 4563
