Hello . regarding to proposed Carwash on Elm & Opal st , We at 12 Opal strongly object this for many reason ! 1 being its location where there are 2 Bus stops and Train station ! this area is used by School buses with a large number of parent pick ups and a regular Bus service from dawn to dusk , 2 there are already 2 Fuel & Food service stations along this frontage , 3 and mostly important to us There is No pedestrian crossing to safely access these amenities making it a Dangerous exercise to cross into Town at any given time ! 4 there are two better locations 1 being the other proposed Woolworth site to the South along Myall st & the industrial area on Holts rd ! 5 this area East of Cooroy’s CBD should not be turned further into an Industrial area with more Noisey machines such as Vacuum cleaners and Hight pressure washers (and Music) which would be running into any given hours , 6 with the Great success of the newly run Bowling club Car parking is “Park Anywhere” this includes private land and stretching up and around into Kauri st and down Opal lane ! 7 the popularity of this area (Cooroy) we have seen traffic blow out to unmanageable numbers with the poorly designed road & bridge network not being able to empty this build up quick enough ! Cars are having enough trouble getting in & out of the BP on Opal &the Diamond lane BP with cars queueing & waiting and blocking normal traffic ‘not to mention the speeding cars racing up Opal st trying to cut out the turn into Diamond st’ . So as a resident of Opal st WE and our Neighbours do not want any more congestion as stated above we’re sick ok it !! Best Regards William Neaves , Ph 0414963333
