PLANNING & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 25 FEBRUARY 2014
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Fees and Charges for the Holiday Parks are set each year for the period 28 January 2014 to 26
January 2015 (the 1st day of the non-peak period after the Christmas Season.), not according to
financial year as is the case for other Council fees and charges. The fees and charges for
Holiday Parks are set until the end of the Summer Peak Season to provide some financial
certainty to patrons who pre book sites in advance (i.e. upwards of 6-18 months in advance).
Noosa Council at its Ordinary Meeting on 2 January 2014 adopted the fees and charges
schedule for Council. At the time Council were not aware of the changes made to the fees and
charges for the Noosa River Holiday Park in relation to the foreshore camping area and the
newly installed long recreational vehicle (RV) sites.
The SCRC Holiday Parks Manager reconfigured the tent site area prior to Christmas 2013 due to
severe erosion which has been impacting on the foreshore campsites during 2013.
The reconfiguration resulted in 12 new fees and charges that were subsequently not reported in
Noosa Council’s fees and charges schedule.

The new fees and charges for the reconfigured area will increase revenue for the site. This is
due to more efficient use of the existing space and the addition of a fee that reflects the use of
space by RVs.
