Subject: Poultry farm cooroy

 

 

Dear Jack,

 

As a concerned resident of the sunshine coast Hinterland who especially enjoys our pristine country side and clean, fresh air, it horrifies me to hear of a proposed poultry farm to be erected just out of Cooroy in delicate, beautiful farming land. The hideous smells that come from the poultry farm on the favourite highway longer for kilometres.....why do this to current residents  ???? Not to mention the run off of toxic chemicals and waste into surrounding land and waterways, the inhumane treatment of caged, packed like sardines, rapid growth cruel industry....do we as a community want to support that....a resounding NO !!!! Please consider the environment and harmony of an existing beauty of land and negate the proposal for poultry farm just outside of Cooroy.
