Previous Council Consideration
Ordinary Meeting, 10 March 2016, Item 3, Page 9
That Council note the report by the Property and Facilities Manager to the General Committee
Meeting dated 7 March 2016 and:
A. Set fees and charges for Noosa Holiday Parks to align with the cessation of the July
Queensland school holidays; and
B. Adopt the Proposed General Cost Recovery Fees and Commercial Charges schedule for
the Noosa Holiday Parks for the period ending 17 July 2017 as detailed in the table contained
within the report, with the reinstatement of fees for the shoulder period that are equivalent to
the off peak fees for both the Boreen Point and Noosa North Shore campgrounds.
Finance & Risk
The Holiday parks are nominated business activities of Council, and as such are required to apply
the competitive neutrality principle including full cost recovery. Failure to fully recover costs through
a user pays mechanism will result in non-compliance with the Local Government Act 2009 and
would place pressure on Council’s general rate and ongoing financial sustainability.
