Remnant vegetation occurs within the eastern portion of the site, characterised by a mature tall open Eucalypt forest over rainforest understorey (wet sclerophyll). This vegetation community is akin to Regional Ecosystem (RE) 12.9-10.1, described as Tall Open Forest with Eucalyptus resinifera, E. grandis, E. robusta, Corymbia intermedia on sedimentary rocks. The following vegetation hazard classes (classified in accordance with Leonard et al. (2017)) were identified within the assessment area which includes a 150m buffer about the site: • Vegetation Hazard Class 8.1 – Wet Eucalypt tall open forest; • Vegetation Hazard Class 40.4 – Continuous low grass or tree cover. The vegetation characteristics within each vegetation hazard class are described in the following sections while Figure 1 depicts the distribution of the observed vegetation hazard classes within the assessment area. © 2022 7
