Details of Submission I (We), make the following submission: It has been brought to my attention of an application to build a service station next to the the Good Shepherd Lutheran Christian College. I strongly object to any decision regarding this matter. Parents commit to their children attending this school assured of the highest level of care ,protection, and guidence during their education. I am the grandmother of 2 pupils presently at GSLC I am astounded to think your council could possibly consider a risk factor to the precious young people of our future by passing this absured proposal. The world is trying it’s best to eliminate emissions in many forms and here we have an issue of an establishment requesting approval so close to innocent young lives, that in some shape or form could well affect them. The risk should definatley not be taken. In my view no matter how protected the regulations are on this service station there is still a “risk factor”. Nothing can be ignored in our society today. We do not want to live with fear, but our leaders assure us to be very aware in our community and parents, family and friends naturally deserve protection of all at GSLC. In our vicinity it was proposed to establish a supermarket near a primary school, due to intense traffic to the area it was objected too strongly by the public and did not proceed. I firmly believe there are more issuses you have before you in regard to the above applications. In the wisdom of Noosa Council I entrust no agreement be forthcoming of this proposal.
