Dear Sir

           RE: Application Number - MCU10/2083 - 37 Gibson Road, Noosaville

On behalf of the San Simeon Body Corporate I wish to register an Objection to the Development Application
MCU10/2083, on the following grounds:

Zonin -this is a residential area, as stated in the Noosa Plan and there should be no change of zoning on this side of
Gibson Rd, where residents have chosen to live in a quiet residential area.

Change of zoning will impact negatively on the property values adjacent to the development site, and devalue our
lifestyle.

Building - The high blank walls of the shopping centre will be extremely close to the adjoining properties. This will
block the current cool airflow and will be very unsightly.

The glare and heat from the roof which is angled towards our townhouses will increase the ambient temperature,
and compromise our environment.

The extra lighting required for security purposes will impact the adjoining properties.

The removal of established, significant trees, which are the habitat of many local bird species, will detract from the
environment.

Odours - Odours from vehicle exhaust, cooking, LP gas and garbage cannot be fully controlled.

Noise - Day and night. Most residents in adjacent properties are retired and are at home both day and night. Noise
from vehicles, mechanical equipment (such as air conditioning, exhaust fans etc) and extra people in the area,
including after hours drunks and hoons will reduce the quality of life.

The declared Noosa Iconic Values of environmental excellence, quality lifestyle and economic well-being, will all be
compromised, with a downgraded environment, disruption of our quality lifestyle and reduced property values
affecting our economic well-being.
