Re : Proposed Development Application, Noosa Women’s Shed Rotary Way, Noosa Heads
Noosa Women’s Shed (NWS) is seeking the consent from Energex to develop buildings/structures for its planned permanent home adjacent to the Easement B on SP17765 Dealing No. 708789046.
This is a condition of both our Development Application to Noosa Shire Council MCU22/0169 and our Deed of Licence granted by Unitywater Lot 17 on SP239726 as stated in the attached documents.
On the 1st of September 2022 the Northern SEQ Distributor-retailer Authority (Trading as Unitywater) granted a Deed of Licence described as Wallum Lane Noosa Heads-Lot 17 on SP239726, to Noosa Women’s Shed for a period of 10 years.
The Noosa Women’s Shed is proposing to develop the site by constructing two sheds as detailed on the attached plans. The development application DA Form 1 is attached. The calculated GFA for the 2 sheds is 300m².
Noosa Women’s Shed is a not-for-profit community organisation in Noosa Shire Council. The proposed development application is for buildings to be set up to empower, mentor, support and enhance the social, emotional, and physical well-being of women through tool-based skills for continued independence and growth. This builds connections, reduces isolation, and enables tool-based skills to be acquired in a supportive, inclusive environment.
The serious side to NWS is supporting and connecting with other community groups where possible, such as those who have experienced domestic violence.
Please also find attached copies of Noosa Women’s Shed Certificate of Incorporation, Unitywater’s letter of approval to develop the Deed of Licence area and a copy of the signed Deed of Licence. Copies of our ABN, GST registration and Certificate of Currency for Insurance are also included.
I have also included my email correspondence with Deepak Balakrishnan, (Network Management Energex), in July regarding Noosa Woman's Shed's Deed of Licence from Unitywater (described as Wallum Lane Noosa Heads-Lot 17 on SP239726), which sits adjacent to the Energex Easement B on SP17765 Dealing No. 708789046.
We look forward to receiving from Energex approval in writing of our development adjacent to Easement B on SP17765 Dealing No. 708789046. Confirmation is required to ensure our development application MCU22/0169 can proceed with Noosa Council for the Development of the Unitywater Lot 17 on SP239726, described as Wallum Lane Noosa Heads.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information regarding this application.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
Kind Regards
Robyn Sanders
